Baby it’s Cold Outside

December brings in the cold, freezing winds. Grey and blue. Strong, that turn the water to ice and leave my hands dry and old. Everything in its wake promptly either dies or decides to sleep and wake up another day, another warm sunny day. That is the December everyone perceives…

My December is warmth among the cold. Layer and layers of clothing. When winter break looms in the background and relentlessly teases, only a few days away. Strong morning air makes me shiver in my clothes wakes me with a start. Warmth is found among the hot savoury liquids that scald the tongue in a breathless way. Sliding down the throat, into the warm pits of my stomach. And i am warm to the core.

December is all of that and more.
